Winter in Zermatt
Our tip: the ski and freeride paradise on the Schwarzsee – take the 6-seater chairlift up to the foot of the north face of the Matterhorn. The slopes are amazing here! Alternatively, the Rothorn area gives the best view of the Matterhorn. Then take the Tufternkumme run towards Zermatt.
Skiing
Snow, sun, 360 km of slopes and boundless fun in the snow – this is Zermatt. At the Schlosshotel we also offer our guests a secure ski room with ski boot drying facilities and a tool workbench.
Don’t haul, hire
Complete sets of ski and snowboard equipment can be hired in Zermatt. Our guests receive a 10% discount; vouchers can be collected from reception.
Winter fun
Winter hiking, snowshoe tours, tobogganing, ice skating, guided culinary hikes or excursions on the gondola to the Kleines Matterhorn – Zermatt offers plenty of variety for non-skiers, too.
